At Brown Bear Car Wash, we’re committed to making your Unlimited Wash Club membership as convenient as possible. While our advanced License Plate Readers can recognize nearly all Washington State plates, certain specialty plates with triple-stacked letters—like WSU, WWU, CWU, EWU, LEM, FFA, and WAC—cannot currently be read automatically by our system.
The license plate recognition technology we use is constantly improving, and we hope it will soon be able to recognize plates with triple-stacked letters. Until that happens, we want to ensure a seamless experience for members with these plates. Vehicles with these license plates will require a manual verification process to validate their membership.
To ensure accuracy, we ask customers with specialty plates to enroll in person at any Brown Bear Car Wash location. When you visit, our team will:
• Assist you with the enrollment process.
• Confirm your license plate information manually.
• Provide instructions on how your membership will be verified at the gated pay station.
Once enrolled, vehicles with specialty plates will be manually validated at our gated pay stations. Simply let an attendant know when you arrive, and they’ll be happy to assist you in ensuring your visit goes smoothly.
Although RFID windshield tags are no longer required, we kindly request that you continue to keep your door tag on your vehicle. This serves as a reliable backup for membership validation, ensuring you have uninterrupted access to your car washes.
